Francesco Moser is an Italian professional road bicycle racer, winner of the Giro d'Italia in 1984. Sports nickname — "Sheriff" (Ital. Lo sceriffo). In 1972, he took part in the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and took 8th place in the individual road time trial. He started his professional career in 1973. He was one of the best cyclists from the mid-70s to the early 80s.
